For over ten years, fine art photographer Keith Dotson has explored and photographed abandoned places in black and white. His first photo book, Unloved and Forgotten: Fine Art Photographs of Abandoned Places, features a selection of the most intriguing and beautiful locations he found in his travels. It includes richly reproduced photographs of abandoned houses, schools, churches, barns, storefronts, and even entire abandoned towns.

Based on Keith's printed book of the same name, the digital version of this book covers 20 years of my development as a photographer, from the moment in 2005 when I made the decision to pursue photography as my art form. What you'll see is a progressive record of my work as it evolved over the years. The pieces shown were selected because they are somehow important to me - maybe a personal fave, or maybe representing a happy memory, maybe exceptionally well-received by the public, or maybe featured in an important book or exhibition.

The ebook PDF includes:

  • High-quality reproductions of black and white photographs from my early days until now
  • All the same material from the physical book plus significantly more photographs and additional content that couldn't be squeezed into the paper version due to space constraints
  • Timelines with major milestone events in my carer as a fine art photographer
